In addition, patients can see correlations between symptoms, meals and medications.

Pros and cons of GI Monitor app for iPhone and iPad

GI Monitor app good for

It might even be a little too complicated but it sure helps!!!
All fine and dandy before the update but now upon logging "stool" app crashes. Im on 3.0... Very unstable over all...
I had the original paid version, which was fantastic and got notified by apple that there was an update, so I hit the update button not knowing that it would delete the last 6 months on data, so the last 6 months of data have now gone. the new FREE version, you now have to register to use version 2, but so far I have been waiting for 3 days for someone to approve my registration, this is not automatic. ***update*** just updated to the latest version And the app just crasches and nolonger works. I even did a new start And it still wont work.
For those upgrading, delete and re-install. Great app with great new features. Well Done!
Didnt mind registering. Easy app to use. Great for tracking symptoms.
I dont mind signing up via email (because I never have to hear from them after that). This would be a 5 Star review if there was a place in each category to make notes or have more detail options (instead of just "good" or "medium"). It would help with better tracking & graphing of ones body.

Some bad moments

I used this app for a month now but suddenly all the data is gone.
This app is terrible, it loses your info that you have been tracking regularly. The socialize feature is a total & complete mess that comes with your resident bullies & cliques. All they do is post about a "troll" ruining the site but no one really responds to legitimate questions about IBD. The company who makes this app uses your information that you log to sell to other companies, they want to monitor your location on top of everything else, Im not ok with that. The app has not had an update for years (according to the clique) when I tried to contact the people who run the app over several different issues I have NEVER received a response (over a 10 month period). I am so done with this app.
I cannot get app to accept my doctors name which I cannot use the app. Useless for me!!!
Not sure whats wrong with this app, but I give up. It didnt want to accept my correct email address, so I gave it a secondary address instead. Then it requests lots of detailed information (does it really need my complete birthdate?) before I can actually use anything, but wont work when I try to enter the requested info. It looks useful, but its too user-unfriendly to actually use. Ill try again when Im less annoyed and perhaps edit my review. For now, its a definite no.
Id love to try this app; if nothing else, it looks like a good place to socialize with other IBD patients. But like other reviewers discovered, GI Monitor wont work on my iPad. You cant do anything until you enter personal info, which is in itself an issue: I can understand needing basic info like name and email, but why is my religion required? Worse still, the app keeps freezing on field after field, forcing me to restart it and then, only accepting the default value. If I have to enter incorrect information in order to use this app, then it isnt for me.
I installed it, but I cant even complete my profile because the UI widgets dont work. For example the DOB widget has my birth month grayed out and I cant pick my month. The height widget wont dismiss and I had to kill the app. Basically an awful UI. Unusable.
